Dispute ResolutionlTuuli is the head of Dottir’s dispute resolution department. She holds close to two decades of experience in resolving complex international disputes arising out of a variety of industries, such as technology, energy, construction, and post M&A. Tuuli’s practice focuses on arbitration and other forms of ADR, with a particular emphasis on cross border disputes.
In addition to successfully representing parties in contentious proceedings, Tuuli has extensive experience assisting companies in developing conflict management strategies – from the early stages of a dispute through to its resolution – and supporting them in amicable dispute resolution processes. Indeed, Tuuli has reached settlements in high value disputes through negotiations, mediation and other ADR methods.
Tuuli also regularly sits as arbitrator in commercial arbitrations, both national and international.
Tuuli is a court member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, and a former long-standing member of the board of the Arbitration Institute of the Finland Chamber of Commerce. She is also an Officer of the Arbitration Committee of the International Bar Association.
Prior to joining Dottir in 2024, Tuuli worked in the international arbitration department of White & Case in Paris, Helsinki and New York for a decade. For the years preceding her joining Dottir, Tuuli was the director of disputes at Nokia Technologies, where she managed global disputes and contentious licensing deals arising out of the licensing of a global patent portfolio. Tuuli has authored several publications on the topics of dispute resolution and governing law, and she is a regular speaker on these topics. Before moving inhouse in 2019, Tuuli was systematically ranked by Who’s Who Legal among the leading arbitration practitioners in Finland.

Dispute Resolution
Dottir represented a global energy services provider in two ongoing disputes concerning two wind farms owned by the Finnish subsidiaries of a German energy conglomerate. The disputes centred on production failures, inadequate monitoring data, and the potential termination of related agreements. Dottir provided strategic guidance on risk mitigation and pre-dispute measures, advised on dispute resolution strategy, contractual and procedural matters, and on other areas of Finnish law pertaining, e.g. to electricity market regulations.
Dispute Resolution
Dottir advised an international energy drink manufacturer in an AAA-ICDR arbitration seated in Louisville, Kentucky. The arbitration involved the laws of six European countries and concerned alleged breaches of a distribution agreement with distributors in several European countries. Dottir contributed to the arbitration by providing expertise in Finnish law.
Dispute Resolution
Dottir represented a Finnish technology company in a complex, cross-border shareholders’ agreement (SHA) dispute. The dispute was successfully settled.
Dispute Resolution
Dottir advised a Finnish private equity fund, along with a group of co-sellers in a complex cross-border dispute concerning an SPA and vendor loan, against a major global infrastructure company and its European subsidiaries. The multimillion-euro dispute, involving allegations of serious breaches of representations and warranties, was successfully resolved through a structured repurchase arrangement.

Dottir advised a global pharmaceutical company in two separate matters, one concerning sanctions, and another involving an invoicing dispute with an Italian contract party.
